Amplis Inspection

This Privacy Policy explains how Amplis handles data when organizations and their personnel use the Amplis Inspection mobile app and related services. The app is designed for business and operational use on customer sites and is not directed to children.

Effective date: April 21, 2026 Contact: enquiries@amplis.com.au

Account and organization data

Amplis Inspection uses account identifiers such as name, email address, organization membership, role, and authentication/session records so authorized workers can access the correct customer environment.

Inspection records and responses

The service stores project, asset, inspection session, checklist, free-text, dropdown, yes/no, and other response data created while inspections are completed. These records are linked to the worker and customer environment that created them.

Location data

The app captures precise GPS location during inspection activity, including current location, location stamps attached to responses and photos, and location trail points recorded during an inspection session.

Photos and related media

The app captures inspection photos, filenames, categories, timestamps, and related upload metadata so customers can verify physical assets and maintain inspection evidence.

Device, sync, and support data

Amplis Inspection stores offline copies of inspection data on the device and may process limited technical, sync, and diagnostic information needed to authenticate users, synchronize data, troubleshoot failures, and keep the service working.

1. What we collect

Depending on how a customer configures the service, Amplis may collect and process account identifiers, authentication and session data, project and inspection records, inspection responses, precise location data, photo evidence, customer storage destination details, and limited technical or support information needed to run and secure the service. We do not sell personal information, and Amplis Inspection does not use third-party advertising SDKs.

2. How we collect data

We collect data directly from users when they sign in, select projects, complete inspections, answer questions, capture photos, and use related app features.

We collect location data from the device when the user grants location permission and the app records position information for inspection work.

We also receive data from supporting infrastructure such as authentication services, offline sync services, and customer-configured Microsoft storage services where those integrations are enabled.

3. How we use data

  • authenticate workers and apply customer access controls
  • display projects, assets, inspections, and site configuration
  • capture, sync, review, and export inspection results
  • attach GPS and photo evidence to inspection activity
  • support offline work and later synchronization
  • maintain security, prevent misuse, and diagnose operational issues

4. Who we share data with

We share data only as needed to deliver the service, operate customer-configured storage destinations, comply with law, or protect the security of the service and its users.

  • On-device storage on the inspector's phone or tablet for offline inspection work and temporary local photo storage.
  • Supabase for authentication and backend application data.
  • PowerSync for offline-first data synchronization between the device and backend services.
  • Microsoft Graph and customer-configured SharePoint or Microsoft 365 storage when a customer enables SharePoint photo storage for a project.

When a customer enables SharePoint storage, inspection photos and related upload information may be stored within that customer's Microsoft 365 environment rather than solely inside Amplis-managed systems.

5. Retention and deletion

Inspection data is retained for the customer company that engaged Amplis and is deleted or otherwise removed when that customer company requests deletion, subject to legal, contractual, security, backup, or dispute-resolution requirements.

Account-linked personal data in Amplis Inspection is limited, but the service still processes linked work-activity data such as inspection records, location stamps, and photo evidence associated with the signed-in worker or session.

Because the app supports offline work, copies of inspection data may remain temporarily on the device until sync completes or device cleanup runs. Synced local photo copies may be removed from the device after a retention window to manage storage, while the inspection record itself remains available according to the customer company's retention instructions.

6. Security

We use administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect data in transit, at rest, and during authenticated access. No system can be guaranteed perfectly secure, but we work to limit access, use managed infrastructure, and support customer-specific storage and access controls where available.

7. Children

Amplis Inspection is a business tool for workplace and customer-site operations. It is not directed to children and is not intended for consumer use by minors.

8. Changes and contact

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes to the service, legal obligations, or operational practices. We will update the effective date above when we do.

If you have questions about this policy or if your company wants to request access, correction, or deletion, contact enquiries@amplis.com.au.
